Another subtle hint to get a MacTel machine, I suppose.
#Datacad 19 upgrade plus#
The Archicad 12 (Intel Mac) had the Defaults folder plus Archicad Installer, archive.jar, media.inf, setup.AC, setup_M.AC. I got a dialog that said "Archicad 12 cannot be installed on this platform." Poked around the DVD and found that the Archicad 12 (PPC Mac) folder just had a folder named Defaults inside. As an example, on this page you can find DataCAD’s overall score of 7.4 and compare it against Esri CityEngine’s score of 9.8 or DataCAD’s user satisfaction level at 87 versus Esri CityEngine’s 100 satisfaction score. If for some reason that installer never runs, then you may have to browse the DVD manually in the PPC folder to find the ArchiCAD Installer.appĭid all that. You will also get a brief idea how each product works. Click on that button to bring the installer window to the front - or just use expose.

You should see two running icons: a yellow arrow coming out of a box (the splashy install screen) and a blue downward arrow in a white circle labeled ArchiCAD Installer. If you do not see the usual blue/white installation dialog after a bit, look at your dock. When you see the black graphic install screen, click on the big install button.

(Astounding how slow it is compared to my Mac Pro!) There is a new splash install screen that can cover up the real install screen though if your computer isn't insanely fast, or you click on it impatiently. Awaiting further instructions from Graphisoft. There seems to be a problem with the PPC Mac installer. Your case can be different from that of the examples provided here. The package is very nice-looking, but so far a sad day in Mudville.

Note: Always update to the most recent intermediate release to which you can upgrade directly. If you are upgrading from release 9.2.0.8, then you must first upgrade to a sequence of intermediate Oracle Database releases:

If you are upgrading from release 11.2.0.2 or 11.1.0.7, then you must first upgrade to the terminal patch set release for Oracle Database 11g release 2 (11.2.0.4), which is supported for direct upgrade to Oracle Database 19c. This restriction does not apply if you use Oracle Data Pump export/import to migrate data to the new release. After you complete an upgrade to the intermediate release Oracle Database, you can upgrade the intermediate release database to the current Oracle Database release. When upgrading to an intermediate Oracle Database release, follow the instructions in the intermediate release documentation, including running the preupgrade scripts for that intermediate release. Upgrade Oracle Database releases that are not supported for direct upgrade in this release to an intermediate Oracle Database release that is supported for direct upgrade. Solution: Upgrade to an intermediate Oracle Database release that can be directly upgraded to the current release. Perform the upgrade using the current Oracle Database Upgrade Guide, which is this guide.ĭirect upgrade to Oracle Database 19c is not supported. Table 1-1 Examples of Upgrade Paths for Oracle Database 19c Current Releaseġ8 (all releases), 12.2.0.1, 12.1.0.2, 11.2.0.4ĭirect upgrade is supported. Use the upgrade path and the specified documentation to perform an intermediate upgrade of your database before fully upgrading to Oracle Database 18c. The following table shows the required upgrade path for each release of Oracle Database. Use the instructions in this book, Oracle Database Upgrade Guide, including running the preupgrade script for Oracle Database 19c. Upgrade Oracle Database 12c release 1 (12.1.0.2) directly to Oracle Database 19c. Upgrade release 10.2.0.5 to release 12.1.0.2 (the terminal patch set release), using the instructions in Oracle Database Upgrade Guide 12c Release 1 (12.1), including running the preupgrade script for 12.1.0.2. Second, complete the upgrade for the target upgrade release.įor example, if the database from which you are upgrading is running Oracle Database 10g, then to upgrade to Oracle Database 19c, follow these steps: For any multi-step upgrade, if you must carry out two upgrades to upgrade to the current release, then you must run the preupgrade script twice: First, complete an upgrade to an intermediate upgrade release that is supported for direct upgrade to the target upgrade release.
